На сегодняшний день так много возможностей заниматься тем, что вам нравится или развивать хобби, которое делает вас лучше. Например, те, кто хотят заниматься спортом, могут регулярно посещать тренажерный зал. Я бы сказал, что фитнес их хобби. Помимо фитнеса, есть много других занятий, поддерживающих людей в хорошей форме. К ним относятся теннис, плавание, горные лыжи, катание на сноуборде и т. д. Все эти активные виды деятельности для кого-то могут быть хобби. Люди, которые любят вязать или шить также имеют все возможности практиковать свое хобби. Есть люди, которые коллекционируют что-то, например, монеты, марки, старые фотографии. | There are so many possibilities nowadays to do what you like or to keep with a hobby that makes you a better person. For example, those who like doing sports can visit regularly the gym. I’d say that fitness is their hobby. Apart from fitness, there are many other activities that can keep people fit and in good shape. It includes tennis, swimming, skiing, skating, snowboarding, etc. All these active pastimes can be someone’s hobby. People who like knitting or sewing also have many opportunities to practice their hobby. There are people who collect something, such as coins, stamps, old photos. As for me, I’m a versatile person, so there are many things that I like to do in my free time. First of all, I’m a fan of Snowboarding. I’ve started practicing this type of winter sport almost two years ago from now and I should say it’s a great way to spend time with friends during winter holidays. It’s a comparatively new type of sport, which involves descending a snow-covered slope while standing on a snowboard attached to a rider’s feet. I’m not highly professional yet, but I do my best. I have a personal trainer who helps me to progress and to become a better rider. My parents bought me all the necessary equipment and suitable outfit, which I simply love. Another hobby that I’ve had for years is Collecting spoons. It might sound weird, but I like collecting silver or gold plated spoons from different places. Whenever we travel somewhere I ask my parents to buy a souvenir spoon with the symbol of the city or country. I also ask my friends and relatives to bring me a spoon from their trips. At the moment I have nearly 25 items, which remind me of various places. They look rather neat on my bookshelf. When my friend saw this collection, he decided to start collecting the plates from different countries. One more hobby that I’ve always had is Reading. I’m very much into reading books. I know people who enjoy cooking, drawing or singing, but my favourite pastime is undoubtedly reading. The kind of literature I enjoy is science fiction. I like the excitement feeling that gives off every time I read that kind of books and it’s the only genre that would keep me interested. It shows how large is our universe, how immense are its possibilities and how little we know about it. My mum says reading sci-fi is a peculiar escape from the realistic world. Perhaps, she is right but we need to escape and to stay in our own world once in a while. |
